The 6 foot rail can be expanded and has adjustable switch stops, to enable various travel lengths.

The Light Rail 3.5 Intelli Drive travels at approximately 2 feet per minute. The adjustable Intelli Drive time delay feature enables your lamp to pause at each end of the track for 0-60 seconds.

Simply mount the standard 6 foot track over the desired area and place the lamp-moving drive motor onto the track. The Light Rail 3.5 Intelli Drive is supplied with adjustable switch stops, so lamp travel can be any length you wish. This is perfect for a start-up size garden through to a full growth garden.

Moving one light on a 6 foot rail should increase your light's area of coverage by approximately 1.6. This translates into lower operating cost due to higher single light yields. The lumens produced by a grow light decrease the greater the distance from the bulb. To avoid plant killing heat associated with stationary grow lights, the bulb must be kept at a greater distance from the plants. Moving the bulb allows you to place the bulbs closer to the plants because the heat generated by the bulb is spread out over a larger area, thus getting more benefit from the available light.

An Add-a-lamp kit is available that allows you to expand the system from 6' to 12', moving two reflectors in-line with one motor.

What makes this unit shine is the adjustable 0 - 60 second time delay when the lamp reaches a switch stop. This useful feature minimizes the 'tee-pee' growth phenomenon caused by the plants under the center of the track receiving twice as much light as those on the ends. By allowing an adjustable pause at the ends, the plant canopy is kept more even over the growing area.
